This year, JinkoSolar's energy storage series has entered Haining, Zhejiang, constructing a 10 MW / 20 MWh energy storage power station in an industrial park.

Main components: battery system, power conversion system (PCS), fire protection system, step-up system, power distribution system, EMS system, etc. The battery system adopts mainstream lithium iron phosphate batteries, featuring long life, low self-discharge rate, safety and reliability.

A separate design for batteries and PCS is adopted. The battery container highly integrates batteries and fire protection systems, while the PCS and step-up transformer are installed as an integrated unit, saving land and construction costs and shortening the project timeline.

Equipped with auxiliary monitoring systems such as video and fire alarms; each battery container is fitted with a fire alarm and automatic extinguishing system; at the same time, the system is equipped with one EMS energy management system to achieve comprehensive information collection, display and control within the energy storage station.

This project benefits from excellent peak-shaving performance, allowing it to supply power to loads during peak demand periods and charge the batteries during off-peak periods, improving the economic efficiency and security of grid operation, thereby achieving peak load shaving. Currently, the peak-to-valley electricity price difference in Zhejiang Province is relatively large, and driven by both policy and market forces, this difference will widen further, fully showcasing the economic benefits of the energy storage system.

At the same time, it participates in grid frequency regulation, utilising its fast-response characteristics to improve frequency regulation effectiveness. As the market develops, energy storage systems will be more widely used in power market trading, virtual power plant construction and other applications, and the profit models will become increasingly diverse.
