Recently, Jinko ESS, a highly innovative provider of energy storage solutions, is pleased to announce that it has signed a contract with OCEAN TEXTILE INTERNATIONAL PRIVATE LIMITED to deploy its state-of-the-art SunTera G2 Blue Whale 5 MWh energy storage system. The project has a total capacity of 10 MWh and represents several pioneering milestones. It will be Jinko ESS’s first project in India for the SunTera G2 Blue Whale system, the first large-scale energy storage project in the Indian textile industry, and also the first application of the SunTera G2 Blue Whale solution in the commercial and industrial (C&I) sector.

Located in Erode, Tamil Nadu, the project will connect Jinko ESS’s SunTera G2 Blue Whale system with the customer’s existing PV system, thereby addressing PV curtailment issues, optimising renewable energy utilisation, and enabling the textile company to achieve greater energy efficiency in its operations.
