JinkoSolar to supply 6 MWh liquid-cooled energy storage system for Taishan Beidou project

Recently, JinkoSolar, a highly innovative photovoltaic and energy storage enterprise, will supply a 6 MWh liquid-cooled energy storage system for the energy storage project in Beidou Town, Taishan City, Guangdong Province.

For the project owner, safety, operational efficiency and battery service life are the three core considerations. Compared with the uneven temperature distribution of air-cooled media, the ESS liquid-cooling system circulates coolant through cooling plates integrated within the battery system. This not only reduces battery temperature but also improves battery uniformity and reduces the risk of thermal runaway. JinkoSolar's SunTera liquid-cooled energy storage system leads the industry in temperature difference control compared with conventional ESS liquid-cooling systems, with a maximum temperature difference of only 2.5°C, ensuring that the batteries operate under ideal temperature conditions. Compared with air-cooling, it can extend battery life by up to 20%. In addition, the SunTera liquid-cooled energy storage system increases the energy density of each battery unit and reduces energy consumption by 10%.
